Transitus Network

Transitus is an embryonic movement, at present covering South West England and London, with the hope that other areas will follow suit. We are a growing network of people working holistically (ie. including mind, body, spirit and emotions) with the transition of death. We consider the spiritual dimension to be paramount. Our aim is to help release fears and raise awareness about death and dying, and to inform people of the evidence of the continuity of consciousness (before birth and after death). Members include those working with: the dying; Music-Thanatology; alternative funerals; natural burials; grief counselling; workshops; life after death and more.

We have compiled the Transitus Resource List of those who work in this field, which is available on email and by post to those who request details. The idea is firstly to discover about each other’s services so that we begin to see the bigger picture of this movement in which we are playing a part. This will lead us to disseminating each other’s information to those we serve and speeding up the spread of the movement.

At present there is an annual Transitus Spring gathering of members in the South West, which may need to happen more often as we expect to be fully subscribed at the present venue. Some of us are hosting events for the public on an ongoing basis such as workshops, Remembrance Evenings, talks and events that shed light on death and related services.

Our Longer Term Aim

It is our intention to create an ever expanding website which will allow people from across the globe to access information about holistic services in the field of death and dying and the continuity of consciousness.
